Some circles aim to use 'Armenia issue' to divide Turks, official says
Some circles are seeking to use the Armenian allegations over the events of 1915 to create divisions within the Turkish community, the country's communications director said Jan. 14.
Fahrettin Altun's remarks came after a meeting of the High Advisory Board under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the capital Ankara.
Over 1,700 historical artifacts seized in Istanbul, Mersin
Over 1,000 pieces of historical artifacts were seized in operations in Istanbul, a security source said on Jan. 9.
Acting on a tip, anti-smuggling teams conducted operations in three addresses on Jan. 8 in Nişantaşı neighborhood of the metropolis, the source said on condition of anonymity.

Turkey honors diplomats killed in Sydney
Turkey on Dec. 17 commemorated two of its diplomats who were assassinated by an Armenian terrorist group in 1980 in Australia.
"We remember with respect our martyrs Şarık Arıyak, Consul General, and Engin Sever, Security Attaché, assassinated by the JCAG terrorist organization in Sydney on 17.12.1980," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.

Armenian Tribute | Athens | November 20
The Naregatsi Orchestra with singers Vardan Badalyan and Lusine Mirzakhanyan, and the Luseh dance ensemble take the stage at the Galatsi Olympic Hall for a tribute to the traditional music and dances of Armenia. The event is part of the Christmas Theater cultural program and features a cast of 60 artists, screenings and other effects showcasing the country's cultural legacy.
