Erdoğan set to meet Putin, Biden in back-to-back summits
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to engage in a series of high-stakes diplomatic meetings, starting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and followed by U.S. President Joe Biden during a busy early July itinerary.
Following the conclusion of Eid al-Adha, Erdoğan will embark on official visits to three countries.
Armenia says recognizes State of Palestine
Armenia announced Friday its recognition of the State of Palestine, the latest country to do so during the war in Gaza, saying it was against "violence towards civilian populations."
A series of countries have recognised the State of Palestine amid the war between Israel and Hamas, drawing strong rebukes from Israeli officials.

Natural gas imports down nearly 8 percent in 2023
Türkiye's natural gas imports declined by 7.64 percent in 2023 from the previous year, data from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) has shown.
Last year Türkiye bought 50.48 billion cubic meters of natural gas with Russia being the largest supplier. Russia's share in the country's natural gas import was 42.27 percent, said EPDK.

BELGRADE - Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic met with Azerbaijani Defence Minister Col Gen Zakir Hasanov in Baku on Friday to discuss defence cooperation and concrete steps towards its advancement, as well as the current political and security situation.
Gasic said he was pleased to be on an official visit to a brotherly and friendly country.
Armenia Will Leave Russian-Led CSTO Defense Pact
Armenia has declared its intention to withdraw from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a defense alliance formed in 1992 among former Soviet republics with Russia at its core. The CSTO currently comprises Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Armenia.

Türkiye's second astronaut completes suborbital mission
Türkiye's second astronaut, Tuva Cihangir Atasever, achieved a significant milestone on June 8 by successfully completing a suborbital research flight aboard Virgin Galactic's VSS Unity.
This marks another achievement for Türkiye in the field of space exploration, following the earlier success of astronaut Alper Gezeravcı's mission to the International Space Station (ISS).
