Bangladeshi man found dead in Greek police cell
A man from Bangladesh was found dead in a police cell in central Athens on Tuesday morning.
Police said the 29-year old man was found hanged in the police station of Omonoia by the officers who came in for work on Tuesday. He had been detained on Monday night for causing damage to a police car and was kept in an area together with 11 other prisoners.

Erdoğan announces Türkiye's aid delivery to flood-hit Bangladesh
Türkiye has initiated the delivery of humanitarian aid to Bangladesh, where severe flooding has impacted over 5 million people, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on Wednesday.
"We are extending Türkiye's helping hand to our friend and brother Bangladesh, which is going through hard times due to the flood disaster," Erdoğan stated on X.
Erdoğan extends condolences to Bangladesh's Yunus over deadly floods
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan extended his condolences to the head of Bangladesh's interim government, Muhammed Yunus, on Tuesday, following the deadly floods in Bangladesh.
During a phone call, Erdoğan also discussed bilateral relations and various regional and global issues with Yunus, according to a statement by the Turkish Communications Directorate on X.
Floods ease in Bangladesh, 300,000 still in shelters
River waters in low-lying Bangladesh are receding after days of deadly floods but 300,000 people are still in emergency shelters requiring aid, disaster officials said on Sunday.
The heavy floods, which killed at least 18 people in Bangladesh, have added to the challenges of a new government that took charge this month after a student-led revolution.

Three boats carrying 76 migrants land on Gavdos in one day
A total of 76 irregular migrants from Syria, Egypt, Sudan and Bangladesh traveling in three separate boats landed on the shores of Gavdos, a tiny island south of Crete, in the early hours of Tuesday.
The passengers of the vessels, which included six children and four women, were helped to reach dry land by local fishermen, according to reports.
