Top Turkish imam says religious weddings without legal equivalent harm women
Religious marriages conducted without legal marriages harm women and lead to child brides, Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) head Mehmet Görmez has said.
Speaking live on private broadcaster CNNTürk, Görmez admitted there was an ongoing problem in Turkey with religious marriages being conducted without the legal equivalent.

World premiere of '1989' live in Belgrade
BELGRADE - The simultaneous premiere of film '1989' to mark the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall will be held on November 5 in 20 European cities, including Belgrade, Free Zone film festival released on Thursday.
The screening is organised by the Copenhagen CPH:DOX festival which chose the international film festival Free Zone from Belgrade as one of the partners.

Serbian army takes part in exercise in Germany
BELGRADE - Over 4,000 members of armed forces from 18 countries, including troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Serbia, are participating in an exercise in German municipality of Hohenfels.
The aim of the exercise is to improve inter-operability and mutual understanding between members of Ground Forces of partners in tactical operations in a multinational environment.

WASHINGTON -- The World Bank has issued a prognosis of business conditions around the world for 2015 and ranked Serbia 91st out of 189 countries.
This represents a downgrade from last year's 77th spot, leaving only Bosnia-Herzegovina with a worse rank, at 107.

EU’s anti-dumping decision to hit Turkish fishermen
The European Commissionâs planned 9 percent anti-dumping decision on trout imports from Turkey has alarmed Turkish fishermen, who are worried about losing their biggest market.
Turkey is now preparing to offer a number of alternative solutions by November, when the planned decision is expected to take effect, said Agriculture Minister Mehdi Eker.
