Arab-African countries form alliance in Riyadh
Saudi Arabia on Jan. 6 announced the establishment of the Council of Arab and African States bordering the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud announced the signing of the charter of the council in a press conference held in the capital Riyadh.

Dozens evicted, three arrested in Exarchia squat raids
The Greek Police (ELAS) on Monday activated a much-touted plan to evacuate squats in abandoned buildings in the downtown Athens district of Exarchia.

The Greek police stopped a truck with stolen registration numbers and found 59 illegal immigrants.
The truck was stopped Friday afternoon on a highway, about 30 kilometers east of Thessaloniki, as it traveled with signs with a Bulgarian registration that were declared stolen.
