Dacic thanks Ethiopia for its position on Kosovo

ADDIS ABEBA - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic has met with Ethiopian Foreign Minister Tedros Adhanom in Addis Abeba.

During Sunday's meeting, Dacic thanked Adhanom for Ethiopia's principled position regarding the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo-Metohija, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Turkish president visits war-torn Somalia

Turkey's return to the Horn of Africa

The name of the first Ottoman diplomat in the Horn of Africa is Ahmet Mazhar Bey, who was appointed as consul general to the Ethiopian city of Harar in 1910s. He was shot dead by colonialists in Djibouti.

The last governor was Burhan Bey, who stayed at this Ottoman province until the French arrived in the 1880s.

Turkish president cuts Africa trip to attend Saudi King Abdullah's funeral
