Suspected Ebola death in Sierra Leone hours after WHO gives all-clear
A woman in Sierra Leone is thought to have died from Ebola, officials said Jan. 14, just hours after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared an end to an epidemic of the disease.
Guinea declared free of Ebola virus that killed over 2,500
Guinea was declared free of Ebola on Dec. 29 after more than 2,500 people died from the virus in the West African nation, leaving Liberia as the only country still awaiting a countdown for the end of the epidemic.

A U.N.-sponsored independent report by experts denounced May 11 the World Health Organization?s (WHO) slow response to the Ebola crisis.
?It is still unclear to the panel why early warnings approximately from May through to July 2014 did not result in an effective and adequate response,? an interim report by the experts said.

U.S. Ambassador to represent Washington at Gallipoli commemoration
The U.S. ambassador in Ankara, John Bass, will represent his country in the commemoration ceremonies for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli, U.S. Embassy spokesperson Joe Wierichs told Hürriyet Daily News.
Dignitaries to flock to Gallipoli anniversary
Turkey will host leaders from all corners of the world when it holds commemorations for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli April 24-25.
The heads of state for 20 nations will be in attendance, while two parliament speakers, three vice presidents, five prime ministers and around 20 ministers will also attend the ceremonies.

Turkey donates $1mln to AU to combat Ebola

Serbia drops four positions to No. 44 in FIFA world rankings
ZURICH - The Serbian national football team has dropped four positions to number 44 in the latest FIFA world rankings.
With 664 points, Serbia is ahead of Nigeria (652), Israel (649) and Slovenia (648), and behind Guinea (678), Northern Ireland (672) and Hungary (665).
