3% of Global Retail Chains Plan Expansion in Bulgaria – CBRE Report

Bulgaria ranks 46th in a report of property consultants CBRE on the top destinations for expanding global retail chains.

According to the survey, as cited by investor.bg, some 3% of the polled international retail chains expressed interest in expanding their business in Bulgaria.

Macao, India, Oman and Serbia have similar scores.

Giant rabbit heralds MAD in Belgrade

BELGRADE - A giant sculpture of Ricky Rabbit by famous Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman was set up at the Nikola Pasic Square in Belgrade on Friday.

The rabbit is 14 m tall and will be at the square for three weeks as an announcement that the festival MAD in Belgrade will take place May 24-25 at the park outside the Museum of Modern Art in Belgrade.

Zimonjic, Nestor suffer defeat in Dubai final

DUBAI - Serbian tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor of Canada did not succeed in claiming the title in the doubles final at the ATP tournament in Dubai on Saturday.

They lost to Rohan Bopanna (India) and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi (Pakistan) 6-4, 6-3.

The prize fund amounted to USD 2.3 million.

BELGRADE - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik sent his greetings to Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Friday for Serbia's Statehood Day, saying that Serbia had strengthened its position domestically and internationally by moving forward with its EU integration.
