Third shipment of Israeli humanitarian aid reaches Serbia
BELGRADE - The Embassy of Israel in Serbia handed over the aid in sanitation materials, aimed to reduce the flood damage, to Serbia's Ministry of Health on Friday.
This is the third shipment of humanitarian aid sent from Israel to Serbia in response to the government appeal during the disastrous floods that swept through Serbia last month.
Palestinians to appeal to UN over Israel settlements
The Palestine Liberation Organisation is to appeal to the UN Security Council over Israel's settlement construction, after it invited tenders for another 1,500 settler homes, a senior official said Thursday.
"The executive committee of the PLO views this latest escalation with the utmost of seriousness," Hanan Ashrawi said in an English-language statement.
Israeli Airlines Aircraft Makes Forced Landing at Sofia Airport
A passenger plane of the El Al Israeli airlines flying to Munich made a forced landing at Sofia Airport Thursday morning due to the aggressive behavior of one of the passengers.
According to sources from the airline company, as cited by Israeli media outlets and the Bulgarian National Radio, the passenger attacked one of the crew members.
Israel to build 1,500 more homes in settlements: Reports
Israeli Housing Minister Uri Ariel has invited bids for 1,500 new homes in Jewish settlements in retaliation for a new Palestinian government backed by Hamas, reports said on June 5.
Of the new homes, 400 will be in Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem with the rest elsewhere in the occupied West Bank, the online edition of Haaretz newspaper reported.
