Interagency report warns over huge funding gap for Syrian refugees in Turkey
Despite hosting the second largest Syrian refugee population, Turkey has received the lowest level of funding compared to other countries hosting Syrian refugees, U.N. agencies have said.
The report demonstrates the necessity for robust support from the international community as a sign of solidarity and responsibility sharing with Turkey.
Israeli leader calls for independent Kurdistan

Kerry issues warning after Syria bombs Iraq

Kerry backs Iraq against 'existential' militant threat
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on June 23 pledged "intense" support for Iraq against the "existential threat" of a major militant offensive pushing toward Baghdad from the north and west.
Flying in from Jordan, Kerry met with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and other Iraqi leaders to urge a speeding up of the government formation process in order to face down the insurgents.

More than 50 million displaced worldwide, UN says
GENEVA - More than 50 million people were forcibly uprooted worldwide at the end of last year, the highest level since after World War Two, as people fled crises from Syria to South Sudan, the UN refugee agency said on Friday.

Russia says Syria agrees to aid access from Iraq, Turkey, Jordan
Russia said on June 17 it has gained Syrian approval to open four border crossings from Iraq, Jordan and Turkey to deliver aid to millions of people under a "far-reaching formula" proposed to U.N. Security Council members.
Thousands of Syrian refugee children in Lebanon 'forced to work'
At least 50,000 Syrian refugee children in Lebanon are working, often in dire conditions and for 12 hours a day, to pay for food and shelter for their families, aid organisation CARE said.
More than a million Syrian refugees live in Lebanon, making up a quarter of the country's population, having fled a civil war in its fourth year, which has left more than 160,000 dead.
Turkey, South Korea sign major trade deal
