Taekwondo: Mandic wins bronze in China

SUZHOU – Serbia’s Milica Mandic won the bronze medal in the Women Over 67kg event at the 2014 World Taekwondo Grand Prix Series 1 in China on Friday.

In the Chinese city of Suzhou, Mandic first defeated Germany’s Melda Akcan 6-2, and then went on to beat Li Donghua of China 3-2 and clinch a quarterfinal victory against Reshmie Oogink of the Netherlands 5-1.

Seselj given three days to respond to conditions set by ICTY

THE HAGUE - The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has given Vojislav Seselj, who has been indicted by the Tribunal, a three-day deadline to declare in writing that he will comply with the conditions of a possible provisional release, the main condition being supervision by the Serbian authorities.

Zimonjic, Nestor through to Wimbledon quarterfinal

LONDON - Serbian tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and his Canadian colleague Daniel Nestor qualified for the Wimbledon championships quarterfinal in men's doubles as they defeated Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay and David Marrero Santana of Spain in the third round match on Tuesday, 7-6 (10-8), 4-6, 6-4.

Later in the day, Zimonjic will play once more in a match in the mixed doubles category.
