Nigeria returns two looted treasures to traditional palace

Nigeria's government has handed over two bronze treasures to a traditional royal palace in part of a series of restorations of artifacts looted during colonial times.

In a ceremony accompanied by songs, drums and dancers on Saturday, a bronze cockrell and a king's bust were given to King Uku Akpolokpolor Ewuare II, one of the traditional rulers in Africa's most populous country.

Botaş lowers gas flow to industry, power stations

Turkey's Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (Botaş) has lowered natural gas flow to large industrial sites and power stations by 40 percent because of a disruption in pipeline gas imports from Iran.

A high-rise building under construction collapsed in Nigeria's commercial capital Lagos on Nov. 1, killing at least four people with dozens more feared trapped inside the rubble.

A yellow excavator pushed away concrete slabs to search through the wreckage of the 21-floor building in Lagos's wealthy Ikoyi residential and business district, AFP correspondents at the scene said.
