Nikolic at donor conference in Brussels

Barroso: EU to continue to assist post-flood reconstruction
OBRENOVAC - The European Union will continue to assist Serbia in remedying the consequences of the May floods because solidarity is the essence of Europe, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said in Obrenovac on Sunday.

Greek companies offer around RSD 21 million in aid

Vucic, fado diva Mariza discuss aid for Serbia
BELGRADE - Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met on Tuesday with Portuguese fado diva Mariza to discuss charity campaigns for Serbia after the massive floods that swept through the country mid May.
Mariza joined the campaign organized by EXIT and Balkanopolis flood relief center for Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH).

Nikolic invites Russia, India to donor conference
BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic held separate meetings in Belgrade on Monday with the Ambassadors of Russia and India Alexander Chepurin and Narinder Chauhan, respectively, and invited them to join the international donor conference to help Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina rebuild after the recent catastrophic floods.

EBRD Estimates Cost of Flood Damages in Serbia and B&H At EUR 3 B
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) estimated the damages from the devastating floods in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina at around EUR 3B.
Official estimates of the cost are not available yet, but in its report the EBRD put the damage at around EUR 1.5-2 B in Serbia and about EUR 1.3B in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
EU allocates EUR 65 million aid for Serbia, BiH
BELGRADE - In addition to immediate humanitarian aid provided so far to flood-hit Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), the European Commission has allocated an extra EUR 65 million to tackle the aftermath of severe floods, and the money will be available by the end of June.
