EC Approves Sale of Telenor's CEE Assets to Czech Investment Group PPF
SOFIA (Bulgaria), July 30 (SeeNews) - The European Commission said on Monday it has approved the sale of Norwegian telecommunications group Telenor's assets in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to Czech Republic-based investment group PPF.
"The Commission found that the proposed transaction would raise no competition concerns," the EU's executive body said in a statement.

SOFIA, July 30 (Xinhua) -- A multinational military exercise involving army units from eight countries kicked off in Bulgaria on Monday, the country's Defense Ministry said.

"Let's have 28, 29, 30 EU members" - Hungarian FM
"We must enlarge the EU as quickly and as soon as possible. We want to see EU 28, 29, 30. The Western Balkans is a place where tensions can emerge," Peter Szijjarto said on Monday at Londons Chatham House think-tank, "arguing that it shouldnt require another seven years to go though the process," Reuters reported.

Bosnia to Strengthen Border Police After Migrant Increase
The Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an independent body in charge of Bosnia's police, called on Monday for the immediate deployment of at least 200 more officers to the border force.
The border police welcomed the move but said the force still needs more resources.
Bosnia to Seal Borders if Austria Blocks Migrants
If Austria and Slovenia seal their borders to migrants, Bosnia and Herzegovina will be forced to close its own borders with Serbia and Montenegro, Slobodan Ujic, Director of the Foreigners' Service of Bosnia, warned on Tuesday.

Serbia Urged To Get Tough After Gang Killings
Serbian criminologist Dobrivoje Radovanovic has warned that Serbia must cooperate more effectively with Montenegro and step up its attempts to combat violent crime after another murder of a Montenegrin citizen in Belgrade.
"Better cooperation between Serbia and Montenegro would help," Radovanovic told BIRN.
