Lift siege before dialogue, Qatar tells Gulf countries

Qatari Defense Minister Khalid bin Mohammed al-Attiyah has conditioned the lifting of a blockage imposed on his country by four Arab states before engaging in any dialogue with its neighbors.

"Lifting the siege should precede any dialogue," al-Attiyah said in an interview with Russia Today, excerpts of which was published by Qatar's official news agency on July 25.

A group of 20 suspected fighters of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) group have been executed by the forces of General Khalifa Haftar in Libya, according to a video posted online.

Mahmoud al-Werfalli, the senior leader of Haftar’s forces, is seen reading the charges and carrying out an execution himself in a new video posted online on Sunday.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan finalized yesterday ar two-day tour to Gulf countries in Doha, his last destition, on July 24, aimed at defusing a dispute between Qatar and neighbouring Arab states.

Erdoğan was greeted by Qatari ruler Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in Doha ahead of their first face-to-face talks on the Gulf crisis.

Montenegro Continues Selling Arms to Saudi Arabia

A new UN report reveals that Saudi Arabia has remained one of the most important buyers of obsolete ex-Yugoslav arms from Montenegro.

According to the document on yearly arms exports, filed under the country's obligation to report to the UN Arms Trade Treaty, Montenegro sold Saudi Arabia 82 items of large calibre artillery system, mostly mortars, in 2016.

President Erdoğan meets with Saudi King in Jeddah on first leg of Gulf tour

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in the Saudi city of Jeddah on July 23 on the first leg of his Gulf tour, which will also include Kuwait and Qatar.

Erdoğan was greeted by a number of Saudi officials upon his arrival at the King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud International Airport in Jeddah.
