Recep Tayyip Erdogan will soon start his third term as Turkey's president. There will be much hand-wringing over whether he regained power through "free and fair elections" (he didn't), what this means for democracy in Turkey (not good) and whether his victory was really better for stability in the region and Greece's security (it isn't).
Travel ban for soccer fans
The Sports Ministry has announced a ban on the the organized movement of AEK Athens and PAOK soccer fans in Volos, central Greece, in view of the Greek Cup final on Wednesday, citing "serious reasons of public order and security."
The Cup final is scheduled to be held at the Panthessaliko Stadium, starting at 8.30 p.m.

Eurovision 2023 has kicked off in Liverpool, northern England, where acts from 37 countries are competing to win the 67th edition of the song contest.
Liverpool is hosting on behalf of Ukraine, which won the contest last with Kalush Orchestra's "Stefania."
Ukraine was unable to stage the event this year, as the winner usually does, because of Russia's invasion.
FM marks VE day with a statement on social media
Foreign Minister marked Victory in Europe day with a statement uploaded on social media on Monday.
"78 years since the surrender of Nazi Germany and the Victory of the Allies in Europe Day. Greece contributed to this victory, with the sacrifices and struggle of its people, fulfilling her debt to humanity," he said.
Dendias marks anniversary of Nazi Germany’s surrender
Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Monday marked the anniversary of the surrender of Nazi Germany in World War Two, highlighting Greece's contribution to the Allied victory.
"78 years have passed since the surrender of Nazi Germany and Victory in Europe Day. Greece contributed to it with the sacrifices and struggle of its people, fulfilling its debt to humanity," he tweeted.
Germany’s blind soccer team train in Thessaloniki
In a photo made available Saturday, Germany's blind men's soccer team trains in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, in preparation for the world championship in blind soccer, taking place in August in the UK, as part of the 2023 IBSA World Games.
