Unemployment Falls to 11.2% in May, Bulgarian Employment Agency

Bulgaria's National Employment Agency has registered an 11.2% unemployment rate in May, which is 0.6% lower than the April figure.

This is the second consecutive month when the rate falls, after it stood at 12.2% during the January – March period, Investor.bg reported. However, compared to the same time last year, it is 0.2% higher.

PRISTINA - Over 9,000 Serbs voted mainly for the Serbian list in the recent Kosovo elections.

A total of 12,990 ballots arrived from central Serbia, of which around 9,500 ballots passed the second ring of examination, the Frankfurt-based Serbian language daily Vesti reported.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Early on Wednesday, the citizens removed the barricade on the northern side of the main bridge over the Ibar River in Kosovska Mitrovica.

The barricade was removed with the use of trucks and heavy machinery.

Islamist insurgents invaded the Baiji oil refinery, the biggest such facility in Iraq, as they are pushing toward the capital Baghdad after having seized a number of cities.

Some 75 percent of Baiji, located 210 km north of Bagdad, is now under the control of militants led by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS), as the BBC reports citing officials.
