Serbian MPs will work all summer

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic said that the MPs will work during the summer in order to carry out the agenda presented by Aleksandar Vucic upon his election as prime minister.

"We are waiting for reform laws which, according to the government, are in the final phase, and we expect them to be adopted by August," Gojkovic said for the Wednesday edition of Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti.

Reports within the jurisdiction of the National Bank of Serbia will also be presented to MPs in the coming period, she said, stressing that there will be no standstill or a break although the regular session has ended.

"The committees are working hard, and intense international activity is underway. In just over a month since it was constituted, the parliament has adopted 23 laws and 42 decisions,” she noted.
