Mihajlovic: Visit to Berlin - Serbia on right track

BELGRADE – The current visit of Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic to Berlin is proof that Serbia is on the right track, Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said Thursday, stressing that Germany a key partner to Serbia.

“Given the way in which the prime minister was received and the topics discussed, I believe that Serbia is on the right track and that our country with this government and this prime minister does not only have a chance, but has a future as well,” Mihajlovic told reporters at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Architecture, where she opened a conference on new methods of construction of residential buildings, which should be used to provide new homes to those whose former homes were destroyed in the May flooding.

She said Serbia should respect all its partners, especially such an important one as Germany.

“I see this visit (by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to Berlin) as a launch towards something even better than we have had so far,” said Mihajlovic.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, who yesterday met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, has continued his visit to Berlin with a meeting with representatives of the German business community today.
