Former SDOE chiefs given more time to prepare their defense

Two former heads of the Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE), Yiannis Diotis and Yiannis Kapeleris, were on Wednesday given more time to prepare their defense against charges of breach of trust in connection with the so-called “Lagarde list” of possible tax cheats.

Magistrates Christos Papacostas and Dimitris Kavalaris reportedly granted the former SDOE chiefs an extension until the first week of September.
