K. Mitrovica: Srpska, SDP forge coalition agreement

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The Citizens' Initiative Srpska and the Citizens' Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic forged a coalition agreement in Kosovska Mitrovica, according to which the chairman of the municipal assembly and mayor cannot be from the same initiative.

Aleksandar Spiric, head of the municipal commission on policy and finance, told reporters on Monday evening that the coalition agreement stipulates that after the election for mayor of northern Kosovska Mitrovica, the chairman of the municipal assembly and mayor cannot come from the same political party.

Spiric, who is also chairing the interim body of the municipality of Kosovska Mitrovica, was appointed head of the commission at a meeting of the municipal assembly of Kosovska Mitrovica late on Monday, and Ksenija Bozovic from the Citizens' Initiative SDP was appointed deputy chairman of the municipal assembly.

Spiric added that members of the Independent Liberal Party in the municipal assembly backed the decisions.
