Brnabic congratulated the airport on this significant result, as this is the first time in its 55-year history that it served more than five million passengers in one year, the government announced on its website.
The passenger in question was Nebojsa Viskovic, a reporter with the Sport Klub broadcaster. He was presented with a prize to mark the occasion by Brnabic, Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali, and Director of the Nikola Tesla Airport Sasa Vlaisavljevic.
Brnabic also said that when the deadline for submission of binding bids for the companies that are finalists in the concession procedure for airport expires this afternoon, she expects that all five consortia will have submitted their bids.
She pointed out that there was great interest and a preliminary decision on the best offers will have been made by December 25".
We will have three groups of experts who will evaluate offers from the financial, legal and technical angle. We will consider everything well. Money is important for the best offer, but many other aspects too," she said.
Asked whether the concession contract, as well as the annexes, will be made public, Brnabic replied that the whole process will be fully public, which guarantees the presence of international financial institutions and explained that the whole procedure is being conducted on a global level.
"The process involves the world's largest companies from almost all continents and nobody has had a remark until now. Everyone has been very satisfied with the work of our team," Brnabic stated.
