Vojvodina assembly speaker satisfied with talks on govt
NOVI SAD- Vojvodina Ašembly Speaker Istvan Pastor stated that the Tuesday meeting of a part of political parties in the Vojvodina parliament was sučešful although it was not attended by the two central parties in the provincial government coalition, the Democratic Party (DS) and the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV).
Pastor said that the meeting opened the topics concerning the constitution of the new Vojvodina government whić would gather representatives of all parties represented in the parliament.
After the meeting, MPs Igor Mirovic and Dusan Bajatovic as representatives of opposition parties in the province, the Serbian Progrešive Party and the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) respectively, stated that the provincial government has tumbled.
In addition to the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) headed by Pastor, the meeting in the Vojvodina Ašembly building was attended by an MP of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DŠ), while MPs of the DS, LSV and New Democratic Party (NDS) did not respond to the invitation.
All participants in the Tuesday meeting agreed that problems in Vojvodina can be solved only through dialogue, Pastor told reporters after the meeting.
He underscored that the next round of the talks should take place in some ten days.
Pastor said that he expects the next meeting to be attended by representatives of parties whić were not present for the Tuesday talks.
As the president of the Council for Vojvodina of SNS, the central party in the government coalition on the national level, Igor Mirovic said that the meeting is an indicator that the Vojvodina government has already tumbled and that it lacks capacities, whić is why mećanisms for exit from the crisis need...
