Bad Weather Halts Plane Search, China Requests Evidence

The search for the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has been temporarily suspended due to bad weather.

The Australian search teams have been ordered to halt the operations in the south Indian Ocean as a result of high winds and rain, the BBC revealed.

On Monday, Malaysian PM Najib Razak confirmed that data has shown the missing airplane with 239 people on board, fell in the Indian Ocean, some 2,500 km off the coast of Perth, Australia.

The Malaysia Airlines flight went missing on March 8, on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Meanwhile, relatives of the 153 Chinese nationals on board, marched to the Malaysian Embassy in Beijing, demanding more clarity and evidence on the claims for the plane’s crash. There are reports of scuffles between embassy guards and demonstrators.

China’s Deputy Foreign Minister has requested Malaysia to share all the detailed evidence from the search operation so far, and to see through the investigation for the reasons behind the plane’s disappearance.
