Serbian prime minister visits Vienna

BELGRADE/VIENNA - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will visit Vienna on Thursday, where he will confer with Austria's top government officials, Vienna announced.

Vucic will confer with Austrian President Heinz Fischer.

The Serbian prime minister should also meet with representatives of the Serbian diaspora which will be hosted by Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sebastian Kurz in honour of the Serbian prime minister.

The talks between Vucic and his Austrian hosts will cover bilateral relations, Serbia's EU accession talks, the summit on the Western Balkans which will take place in Vienna in August and Serbia's OSCE chairmanship.

The agenda of the meeting will cover the fight against terrorism and other international issues, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released.

The talks will also cover the Serbian diaspora.

As both sides underscored on several occasions until now, Austria is a reliable partner to Serbia on its EU path.

Vienna supports Serbia in its efforts aimed at opening the first chapters in the EU accession talks as soon as possible.
