First Balkan Hard Rock Cafe to Open in Montenegro
A company from the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi Financial Group, on Wednesday announced that Hard Rock Cafe Podgorica will soon open its doors as the first in a chain of cafe-restaurants planned for the region.
Last year, the company, in cooperation with the Hard Rock International, became the owners of the franchise for the Balkan region.
The company said it plans to employ at least 80 people in Podgorica in the American-style bar and restaurant.
"We are proud that the first Hard Rock Cafe will be opened in Podgorica, which is our contribution to improving the country's offer in the field of tourism and hospitality," a representative of the company, Predrag Kozic, told media on Wednesday.
The 800-square-metre Hard Rock Cafe will seat up to 200 diners and include a bar, a patio, a live music area, VIP lounge and a Rock Shop, featuring Hard Rock's limited-edition merchandise.
Displaying the items from the world's most popular musicians, Hard Rock Cafe Podgorica will feature memorabilia of Madonna, David Bowie, Rihanna, Elton John, Sheryl Crow, Bjork, Eminem, Shakira, Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi.
Hard Rock Cafe is the latest investment of the Abu Dhabi Financial Group, which has already invested more than 100 million euros in a luxury business and residential complex in Podgorica.
