President Klaus Iohannis meets EPP President Joseph Daul in Brussels

AGERPRES special correspondent Florentina Peia reports: President Klaus Iohannis has had on Thursday morning, in Brussels, a meeting with the European People's Party (EPP) President, Joseph Daul, on the occasion of the EPP summit and ahead of the European Council's informal reunion, the Presidential Administration informs.

The main topics on the two's agenda were the current geopolitical situation regarding the peace negotiations in Minsk, Ukraine, the region's situation and Romanian's domestic policy in the first months since the President, Klaus Iohannis took office.

The head of state is participating for the first time in a reunion of the European Council. He will partake in this informal meeting with the President of the European Parliament and in the separate working dinner of Heads of state and government of the EU member states.

Around 20:10 (Bucharest Local Time), the President will deliver a press statement at the European Council.AGERPRES
