Serbian parliament speaker, Tunisian MPs discuss cooperation
BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic received a Tunisian parliamentary delegation currently visiting Serbia, discussing ways to improve inter-parliamentary cooperation and overall relations between Serbia and Tunisia, especially in the sphere of economy, on Monday.
Gojkovic said that the two countries enjoyed traditionally good and friendly relations, expressing the hope that cooperation between the two countries would continue to develop both at the parliamentary level and in the field of economy.
The Serbian parliament speaker briefed the Tunisian parliamentarians about the work of the Serbian parliament and reform laws it had passed, stressing that the goal was to attract investment and boost economic growth, the Serbian parliament said in a release.
The parliamentarians from Tunisia, visiting Serbia within the framework of a program organized by the International Republican Institute (IRI), agreed that relations between the two countries were traditionally friendly and expressed the hope that cooperation would be continued and improved, especially at the level of the two parliaments and in the fields of economy and in tourism.
