Honorary awards presented at FEST
BELGRADE - Recipients of honorary awards at the 43rd edition of the FEST International Film Festival were announced on Sunday afternoon, and those receiving the awards given by the festival's juries will be made known at the closing ceremony tonight.
The jury composed of FIPRESCI Serbia "Dinko Tucakovic" critics has awarded its top recognition to the Serbian film No One's ?ild (Nicije dete), directed by Vuk Rsumovic, and special recognition to the film The White God by Hungarian director Kornel Mundruczo.
Receiving the award at a pre? conference, Rsumovic said that the recognition from the critics meant a lot to him, pointing out that the film had already received a FIPRESCI award after its premiere in Venice the year before.
The other member of the FIPRESCI national section in Serbia - the FIPRESCI Serbian Bran? - gave its award for the best film in the Serbian Film program group to Enclave (Enklava) by Goran Radovanovic, and also awarded the low-budget release Inside (Unutra) by Mirko Abrlic and Jelena Markovic, whi? was screened in the Microwave group, for its special contribution to Serbia's independent art film.
The student jury was deciding awards for films screened in the Thrills & Kills group and named Fren? film Colt 45 by Fabrice du Welz the best in the group.
The audience award went to the Argentine film Wild Tales by Damian Szifron.
