Free fruit to be distributed at schools in Attica, Thessaloniki

Pupils at public schools in Attica and the northern port city of Thessaloniki are to receive free fruit and fruit salad from Tuesday as part of a program developed by the Agriculture Ministry.

The program foresees the distribution of fruit and fruit salad to about 280,000 pupils at 1,400 schools and aims to combat malnutrition among children, which has been on the rise since the start of the crisis.
