Exhibition of Ferrer's works to open in Instituto Cervantes

BELGRADE - The exhibition entitled "Colección de asombros" (Collection of Miracles) by Spanish artist Isidro Ferrer will open in the Gallery of the Instituto Cervantes in Belgrade on Tuesday, and it represents a compilation of his illustrations and graphic design pieces.

All the works and selected sketches from Ferrer's notebooks offer a better insight into the work of Isidro Ferrer over the past few years.

The exhibition will consist of 60 posters and illustrations and 10 notebook illustrations.

Isidro Ferrer, born in Madrid in 1963, is one of the most prominent representatives of contemporary Spanish design and illustration, and he is also internationally active as an illustrator, graphic designer and author of animations and storyboards for TV shows.

Ferrer won several awards, including the National Design Award in 2002, National Award for Illustration 2006, European Design Award in the Poster Category 2008 and silver award at the Golden Label Awards 2013.

On the day of the exhibition opening, a guided tour in English and Spanish will be organised in Instituto Cervantes and it will be hosted by exhibition curator Tina Garcia.
