Vucic hopes new Serbian government will be formed by March 15
SKOPJE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday he hoped the new Serbian government would be formed by March 15 and that a constitutive session of the new parliament could be expected from February 1.
"As far as the government is concerned, I really hope it will be formed by March 15. As for the parliament, you know the deadline is one month after the announcement of the final (electoral) results - I think the 10th, 11th or the 12th is the final day. Starting from February 1, you can expect a constitutive session of the Serbian parliament," Vucic told a press briefing in Skopje, where he is attending a Western Balkans-EU summit.
He said this was important because Serbia needed to react quickly to adopt many legislative decisions and norms related to EXPO 2027 and a 2024-2027 development plan unveiled at the weekend.
