Actor Dinos Karydis has died at the age of 85

At the age of 85, the actor Dinos Karydis, father of Smaragda Karydis, passed away on Sunday, bringing sorrow to the artistic community.

The well-known actor had reportedly been battling cancer for years.

The news of his passing was shared through a post made by Spyros Bibilas on Facebook.

“My dear friend, goodnight forever! You were one of the kindest people I’ve met, and you always called me your nephew since we met at the ERT studios in the ’80s. We grew close, formed a deep family friendship. Your talent and humor were endless! Your love for all of us, but especially for your Julia and Smaragda, was immense… Smaragda, your worthy daughter. We will always love you and say our farewell on Tuesday at 1:30 PM at the Zografou Cemetery. Safe travels, our beloved ‘Dinako,’ and my heartfelt condolences to your two cherished loved ones,” wrote Spyros Bibilas in his post.
