Balkan trips proved costly for Reds and Greens

Panathinaikos and Olympiakos suffered bad losses on the road on Friday and lost more ground in the Euroleague. In general the day saw all favorites suffer defeats.

The Greens went down 93-67 at Anadolu Efes in Turkey in one of their worst performances so far this season.

Playing without Kendrick Nunn, who was banned for a game for getting disqualified from the Greens' game at Partizan Belgrade, Panathinaikos was unable to match its host and lost easily to a far superior Efes, once again conceding more than 90 points.

This seventh reverse for the Euroleague champion had Kostas Sloukas score 15 points and Cedi Osman add 12.

Olympiakos conceded its sixth loss in 15 games succumbing to Red Star Belgrade with an 87-73 score, in what was a truly fantastic atmosphere.
