Britain: We won’t cry over Russian nuclear commander’s death, London says

The United Kingdom “won’t cry for the death” of Igor Kirillov, the commander of Russia’s nuclear, chemical, and biological defense forces, who was killed this morning in Moscow in an attack claimed by Kyiv, a government spokesperson said today.

“We won’t cry for the death of a person who participated in an illegal invasion and inflicted suffering and death on the Ukrainian people,” said the spokesperson for British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to reporters.
