17,000 euros support for unemployed individuals to launch businesses
Unemployed people aged 30 to 59 who join the entrepreneurship program of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) will receive financial support of 17,000 euros.
The goal of the program is to create small and medium-sized enterprises and, according to Labor Minister Niki Kerameus, emphasis will be placed on female entrepreneurship.
The relevant ministerial decision was published in the Official Gazette and applications for funding (investment proposal) will be submitted electronically to the National Economy and Finance Ministry's integrated state aid information system (OPSKE). In total, it is estimated that up to 5,880 unemployed people, mainly women, will be funded, with a total budget of around €100 million.
