PM reaffirms unwavering support for Ukraine

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reaffirmed Greece's steadfast support for Ukraine during his participation in the North-South Summit in Finnish Lapland on Saturday. Speaking upon his arrival, Mitsotakis was unequivocal when asked by journalists about his message to Russia and President Vladimir Putin. 

"The message is very clear: We will continue to stand by Ukraine and support it unequivocally. It is up to Ukraine to determine the timing of any negotiations with Russia, but it should do so from a position of strength, not weakness," he said. 

Mitsotakis highlighted key discussions about the European Union's security challenges and collective defense amid escalating geopolitical tensions.
