Speaker Zgonea: Romania is an exporter of good practices in integration in the EU
Deputies' Chamber Speaker Valeriu Zgonea on Monday, at the end of the meeting with Kingdom of Sweden Parliament Speaker Urban Ahlin, said that Romania is "an exporter of good practices" in the area of integration in the European Union.
"At the moment, Romania is an exporter of good practices in the area of integration in the EU and we want, together with Mr Speaker, to collaborate with other states in Eastern Europe wanting to join the EU, so we can teach them all the procedures and steps they want to make, so that the path to the EU be as fast and with as few syncopes as possible," Valeriu Zgonea said at the Palace of Parliament.
He pointed out that, during the meeting, they approached aspects of the cooperation between Romania and Sweden.
"(...) Romania needs Sweden's experience in the nuclear energy area and in other structures that are important. There is a know-how and agreement transfer between the specialised institutions, even at this moment there is a conference on these policies and on the definitive storage of nuclear waste," Zgonea pointed out.
The Deputies' Chamber Speaker added that the discussion with the Swedish official aimed at the commercial exchanges, the relations between the two states' parliaments and governments, but also at the cooperation in regards with the Eastern Partnership.
