Tennis: Mergea, Bopanna, in the men's doubles semifinals in Halle (ATP)

The pair made up of Romanian tennis player Florin Mergea and Indian Rohan Bopanna has qualified on Thursday for the men's doubles semifinals of the 1,574,640 euro ATP tournament on the grass court of Halle (Germany), after defeating the couple made of Marin Draganja (Croatia)/Henri Kontinen (Finland), 7-6 (4), 7-6 (3).

Mergea and Bopanna have got 23,990 euro prize, plus 180 ATP points, and in the penultimate phase they will play against the US pair Eric Butorac/Scott Lipsky. Also qualified for the semifinals are the main favourites, Romanian Horia Tecau and Dutch Jean-Julien Rojer, who are to meet the pair of Raven Klaasen (South Africa)/Rajeev Ram (USA).AGERPRES
