Presidency presents National Defence Strategy diplomatic representatives of NATO, EU states

According to the Presidential Administration, representatives of diplomatic missions of EU and NATO member states and of the Romanian Presidency met at the Cotroceni Palace, the seat of the Presidency, at the initiative of its Department for National Security.

Romania's National Defence Strategy was presented on Thursday to the representatives of the diplomatic corps of the NATO and EU member states.

According to the Presidential Administration, representatives of diplomatic missions of EU and NATO member states and of the Romanian Presidency met at the Cotroceni Palace, the seat of the Presidency, at the initiative of its Department for National Security.

The main topic of the meeting was the presentation of the strategic vision and of the main contents and directions of the new National Defence Strategy, especially from the perspective of Romania's status as NATO and EU member state.

The presentation ? a first for the representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Bucharest ? was followed by a dialogue on topics of the Energy Union and of the strategic communication on EU level.

President Klaus Iohannis will present the new National Defence Strategy at the joint session of the two chambers of the Parliament on Monday. AGERPRES
