Havana dancers to hit Belgrade streets on weekend
BELGRADE - More than 50 dancers from Havana will show their Latin dance skills in downtown Belgrade on Saturday, May 10, to promote the concert of the internationally renowned Cuban band Afro-Cuban All Stars, set to take place at the Belgrade Sava Center on May 17.
"We invite all Cuban music enthusiasts to stroll down the Knez Mihajlova Street on Saturday and have fun with us," the dancers from Havana say.
Afro-Cuban All Stars is a unique music ensemble dedicated to the traditional sounds of Cuba. Its members are musicians of all generations performing various styles of Latin music, including mambo, chachacha, rumba, son montuno, timba, guajira, danzon, abakua and bolero.
The musicians led by Juan de Marcos are among the ones who deserve the most credit for the incredible boom of the traditional Afro-Cuban music around the world.
During a successful career that has spanned more than two decades the Afro-Cuban All Stars received several Grammy nominations and took part in a number of documentary and feature films about their music.
The tickets for the concert taking place at the Sava Center on May 17 are available at prices of RSD 1,900, RSD 2,200 and RSD 2,500.
