AKP says continued Russian airspace violations will be considered a 'threat'
A continuation of Russia?s violations of Turkish air space would be considered a ?threat? to the country, Justice and Development Party (AKP) spokesperson Ömer Çelik has said.
?Russia is a friendly country, not an enemy. But if the violations continue, we will consider them a threat and we will do whatever is necessary to eliminate them,? Çelik told reporters on Oct. 7.
He also described Russia?s proposal for a meeting to give an explanation for the recent violations as ?positive.?
