Let’s run for the children

More than 15,000 people have registered to take part in the 29th Tour of Athens charity run organized by Athens Sports, Culture and Youth Organization which will take place in Athens on Sunday.

This year it seeks to raise awareness for children suffering from epilepsy and raise money for a EEG for the Aghia Sophia Children’s Hospital neurology department.

The race will start from the Panathenaic Stadium at 9:00 on Sunday and follow a circular route that ends back at the stadium.

The centre of the city will be closed to traffic along the route of the race on Sunday until 11:00 whereas parking will be forbidden on most major roads.

Participants will also be able to use for free Athens public transport from 7:30 until 12:30 on Sunday by displaying their bib number.
