An Istanbul prosecutor sought two aggravated life sentences each for 13 suspects including popular Turkish singer Atilla Taş and journalists Murat Aksoy and Gökçe Fırat Çulhaoğlu over their alleged involvement in the July 15, 2016 coup attempt, in a fresh indictment submitted to court on June 6, Doğan News Agency has reported.

A permit has been given to investigate three judges and one prosecutor who were temporarily suspended in a case into the Gülen movement due to "public indignation," the deputy chair of Turkey's Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) has stated.

Turkey's Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) announced on April 3 that it temporarily dismissed a court board and a prosecutor, less than a week after they ordered the release of some 21 suspects in a case into the media structure of the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ), which is accused of orchestrating the July 2016 failed coup attempt.

Detention warrants were issued for seven suspects in a case into the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) late on March 31. 

The trial into the "media leg" of the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), widely believed to have orchestrated the July 15, 2016 failed coup attempt, has begun in Istanbul with a total of 29 suspects. 

A court indictment ruled that some 5,000 academics have deposited cash in Bank Asya after an order from U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, as part of an investigation into the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ). 

More than 215,000 people have been using ByLock smartphone app, an encrypted messaging application that is said to have been used by members of the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) of the U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, according to an indictment prepared as a part of the FETÖ investigation.
