This became clear after a meeting between the leadership of Alma Mater and ministers Krassimir Valchev and Vladislav Goranov. Educational Minister Valchev was happy that there was a good dialogue. Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" starts protest action after January 22, if the government does not meet five specific demands of the higher school. This was decided by the Academic Council of the University at an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday. The reason for the protests is the negative attitude of governments in recent years towards the university.

The new academic year starts at Sofia University. Before the official ceremony, scheduled for 10:00, the rector of Alma Mater Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov and the members of the Academic Council will bring flowers to the monuments of Evlogi and Hristo Georgiev.
