Slovak PM: EU "committing ritual suicide"
The EU is committing "ritual suicide" with its migration policy, says Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
In an interview for Czech daily Pravo, quoted by French agency AFP, Fico urged EU's 28 member-states "to stop the influx of illegal immigrants."

Moldova Protesters Rally for Early Elections
Some 40,000 people demonstrated in the Moldovan capital Chisinau on Sunday to demand early elections amid the ongoing crisis in Europe's poorest country, local media reported.
"The people are with us. They do not want to support oligarchs and the criminal authorities," opposition leader Andrei Nastase told protesters, AFP news agency reported.

Clinical trial accident in France leaves one person brain-dead
One person has been left “brain-dead” and five more have been hospitalized after a clinical trial on a cannabis-based drug went wrong in France, according to French Health Ministry.
The statement said the “serious accident” happened on Thursday, stopping the tests and forcing all volunteers to be recalled, while confirming that one of the test subjects “brain dead.”

French and Russian air strikes killed at least 33 Islamic State jihadis in the last 72 hours, the French agency AFP is reporting on Wednesday.

Bucharest Mayor Arrested For Taking Bribes
Romanian anti-corruption prosecutors on Sunday morning detained Oprescu on suspicion that he took bribes of around 25,000 euro from several companies in exchange for getting them public contracts with the city hall.
They charged him as part of an organised group within the public administration that asked firms to kick back to 70 per cent of their profits from their work.
