US-Sanctioned Bosnian Politicians Reject Wrongdoing Claims
The president of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Bosniak- and Croat-dominated Federation entity, Marinko Cavara, rejected allegations against him on Tuesday, one day after he and a minister from the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska entity were sanctioned by the US Treasury Department.
Doctors quit Health Ministry task force over medical devices pricing
Ljubljana – Doctors from a group termed zdravstvo.si have left a Health Ministry task force in charge of changing public procurement procedures in healthcare because their proposal to eliminate price anomalies in procurement of medical devices has not been welcomed. They also oppose fees that would have to be paid to the national medical agency.
Student self-testing to be launched next week
Ljubljana – Student self-testing will be launched next Monday, but only for some secondary school students for now, Health Minister Janez Poklukar said on Tuesday. Others, including older primary school pupils, could start taking swabs a week later or as soon as possible. Student self-testing remains voluntary and will be conducted at home.

Majbert Pharm to supply rapid tests to UKC Ljubljana
Ljubljana – The Ljubljana University Medical Centre (UKC) has signed a deal with Majbert Pharm to supply rapid antigen tests at virtually the same cost apiece as the company supplied to the Health Ministry for mass coronavirus testing under a contract signed in December.
Public agency looking into suitability of rapid antigen tests
Ljubljana – The Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices has decided to carry out an extraordinary inspection of the suitability of the rapid antigen tests the Health Ministry purchased in December from the company Majbert Pharm. The decision comes after suspicion has been raised in the public about the reliability of these tests.
