A Thessaloniki criminal court has acquitted 17 former patients and their relatives on charges of paying bribes to a cardiologist.
Police investigate shooting incident in Thessaloniki
Greek police is searching for the suspect in the shooting of a man in Thessaloniki early Tuesday morning.
The 25-year-old victim was near the cemetery of the Pylaia municipality in the south part of the city at around 1 a.m. when he was shot by an unknown perpetrator.
He was admitted to the AHEPA hospital for treatment. It was not clear how serious his injury was.

Testifying before an investigating magistrate on Thursday, the suspect said he did not intend to kill the victim, who, he claimed, "started the fight."
50-year-old man assaulted by delivery worker dies
A 50-year-old man has passed away after being assaulted by a 27-year-old delivery worker on Agia Sofia pedestrian street, located in the heart of Thessaloniki, northern Greece.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when the 50-year-old confronted the 27-year-old individual for riding his motorcycle on the pedestrian walkway.

The 88-year-old woman was being treated in Thessaloniki's AHEPA hospital and the 91-year-old was in Papanikolaou Hospital.
