Turkish authorities have arrested three key suspects linked to the FETÖ terrorist organization, including one accused of aiding the escape of the primary suspect in the failed coup attempt in 2016.
Türkiye’s first astronaut returns to Earth
Türkiye's first astronaut, Alper Gezeravcı, on Feb. 9 returned Earth after successfully concluding his 18-day mission on the International Space Station.
The Space X Dragon capsule, carrying Gezeravcı and three other accompanying astronauts, carried out a splashdown off Daytona, Florida.

Türkiye’s first astronaut to conduct 13 space experiments
Set to make history, the first Turkish astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, whose launch has been delayed due to a technical problem, will undertake 13 groundbreaking experiments in space.
The rocket that will carry the Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) crew, including Türkiye's first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, to the International Space Station (ISS) will launch tonight at 12:49 a.m.
First space traveler to test algae in space
Within the scope of the ALGALSPACE project, Alper Gezeravcı, Türkiye's first space traveler, will test the algae taken from Antarctica into space to provide additional food.

Turkish Court Releases Former Cadets Jailed Over 2016 Coup

The former students at the Air Force Academy started to be released from prison early on Wednesday.
Order for the coup came on night of July 14
Air Pilot Lieutenant Müslim Macit, who actively joined the July 15, 2016, coup attempt, owes everything to the Gülen brotherhood.

Transgender cadets can graduate from Military Academies but not serve
Two transgender cadets will be able to graduate from military academies on the condition that they pass their exams, but they will not be allowed to serve in the military after graduation.
The Air Force and Army will not allow the cadets to be commissioned into the military because the Pentagon has not yet established guidelines for accepting transgender troops, USA Today reported.
Over 22,000 from army, military schools expelled: Minister
Defense Minister Fikri Işık has said over 22,000 cadets from the army and military schools have been expelled for links with the Fetullahist Movement following the July 15, 2016, failed coup attempt .
41,000 Gülen probe suspects are under arrest: Justice Ministry
Justice Ministry sources said on Jan. 2 that there are 41,326 suspects who are arrested as part of probes launched against the Gülen movement in the aftermath of the July 15 coup attempt.
Sources said 103,850 people were prosecuted and pre-trial arrest warrants had been issued against 41,326 of them.
Warrants issued for 45 Turkish navy soldiers over alleged use of ByLock app
Istanbul prosecutors on Dec. 27 issued detention warrants for 45 navy soldiers for allegedly using ByLock, an encrypted messaging application said to have been used by members of the Gülenist movement, who are believed to be behind the July 15 coup attempt.
