Pandemic slashes Steklarna Rogaška glassworks business results
Rogaška Slatina – The Steklarna Rogaška glassworks, which halted production for seven weeks during the first wave of the epidemic last year, generated EUR 38.1 million in sales revenue last year, which is EUR 6.2 million less than the year before. Net profit, which totalled EUR 1.3 million in 2019, dropped to almost EUR 728,000 in 2020.
Spa operator Terme Olimia’s revenue slashed by epidemic
Podčetrtek – Terme Olimia, a state-owned spa operator from Podčetrtek in the east of the country, saw a significant drop in revenue due to the epidemic last year. Net sales revenue dropped by a third to EUR 16.6 million and net profit by 56% to EUR 1.3 million compared to 2019. The number of tourist nights dropped by 26% to almost 267,300.
Levitating turntable maker goes into receivership
Ljubljana – Mag-Lev Audio, a Slovenian startup that developed the first levitating turntable in the world and collected EUR 800,000 in Kickstarter and Indie Gogo campaigns, has gone into receivership. After launching production, the company failed to find a market for its product.

Automotive giant Magna’s Slovenian plant to be relaunched in early 2022
Hoče – Magna Steyr vice president Erwin Fandl and David Adam, director of the Slovenian Magna plant in Hoče, have informed representatives of the Slovenian government and local authorities that production in Hoče would be relaunched at the start of next year.
Small business recovery discussed at conference
Ljubljana – The eighth international small business conference, organised by the GZS’s small business and trade chamber on Thursday, discussed the impact of the epidemic on small businesses and measures that could help them recover post-Covid.

Adria Mobil’s sales down slightly in last business year
Ljubljana – Adria Mobil, a leading European caravan maker, was on its way to achieve one of the best results in history at the beginning of the 2019/2020 business year but this did not materialise due to the coronavirus epidemic. Nevertheless, the company still sold 14,454 products on the European markets and generated EUR 401 million in revenue.
SIJ to pay out EUR 10m in dividends
The shareholders, Russia's Dilon, which owns 72% in SIJ, and the state with a controlling stake, appointed Dmitry Davydov and Mitja Križaj, a non-executive director of the Bank Asset Management Company, as new supervisors at Friday's AGM.
